Prof. Sung-jai CHOI primarily researches intellectual property law—including patent and copyright law—as well as competition law. He is also dedicated to training outstanding legal professionals in the faculty of law at Sejong University.
He received his bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees (in law) from Seoul National University, and graduated from Columbia Law School (LL.M) in the United States. He also completed an MBA to further his studies in finance and accounting, in addition to his legal education.
In 2021, he was honored with the Korea Arbitration Grand Prize (Next Generation Leader Award).

He completed the 29th Judicial Research and Training Institute.
He served as an expert appraiser for the Korea Copyright Commission, a judicial research officer at the Supreme Court, a Non-Standing Commissioner of the Central Administrative Appeals Commission, the head of the Korean Bar Association’s Legal Research Institute, a professor at Kyungpook National University Law School, a board Member of the Korea Intellectual Property Protection Agency, an arbitrator at the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board, Vice Chairman of the Korea Patent Law Society, and has practiced as a lawyer at Kim & Chang, ClassHankyul, Samsung and Microsoft, etc.
As a lawyer and patent attorney, he successfully represented a number of cases including Qualcomm vs KFTC (the Korea Fair Trade Commission) case representing KFTC in securing all fines against Qualcomm, handled international arbitration in the pharmaceutical sector in the UK, and worked on Samsung vs Apple case representing Apple and on Microsoft vs KFTC representing Microsoft as an in-house counsel.

마크 써스데이 알시소는 필리핀 음악 창작자 및 저작권자 단체인 필리핀 작곡가 및 작가 및 출판사협회 (FILSCAP)의 사무총장이다.
FILSCAP은 국내외 음악작품의 필리핀 내 공공 공연, 방송, 스트리밍 라이선스를 부여하는 필리핀 저작권 신탁관리단체이다.

Judge Kim is a High Court Judge in the Republic of Korea who has built an impressive career in the field of intellectual property law. 그는 연세대에서 공학학사를 미국 워싱턴대에서 법학석사학위를 취득하였다.
최근까지 그는 국가지식재산위원회 지식재산전략기획단장으로 근무하였고 한국특허법학회 회장을 역임하였다.

KIM Jisu started his career as a patent examiner at the Korean Intellectual Property Office and had been an administrative patent judge in Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
He held various higher ranking posts, including Patent System Administration Division Director, Intellectual Property Protection Policy Division Director. And he worked as Director General for Planning and Coordination.
He achieved master’s degrees in law at the University of Washington after earning a bachelor’s degree at Yonsei University.
He worked as a Secretary-General of the Presidential Council on Intellectual Property Office of IP Strategy & Planning. And he was a president of Korea Patent Law Society as well. Now he is a vice president of Korea IP Society and the chairman of the academic of Korea Patent Law Society.

데다르 싱 길 대법관은 2018년 8월 1일 싱가포르 대법원 사법위원(Judicial Commissioner)으로 임명되었으며, 2020년 8월 1일 고등법원 판사(High Court Judge)로 임명되었습니다.

Justice Dedar Singh Gill was appointed Judicial Commissioner of the Supreme Court on 1 August 2018 and High Court Judge on 1 August 2020.
Prior to his judicial appointments Justice Gill held the position of Managing Director of the Intellectual Property Department at Messrs. Drew and Napier LLC. He had appeared as counsel before the High Court and Court of Appeal for major corporate clients and had established a considerable reputation for his expertise and experience in intellectual property law.
Justice Gill was appointed by Chief Justice Sundaresh Menon to manage the Intellectual Property (IP) list of the High Court and implement the recommendations submitted by the IP Dispute Resolution Framework Review Committee to review the Intellectual Property dispute resolution system in Singapore.
Justice Gill was appointed as a member of the WIPO Advisory Board of Judges for the 2023-2024 term.

Mr. Chen Yingjun commenced his intellectual property career in 1997 and has since managed thousands of patent applications, re-examinations, invalidation cases, and patent litigation matters for global corporations and research institutes.
In 2007 and 2010, he spearheaded the Korean translation of the China National Intellectual Property Administration’s "Patent Examination Guidelines", which was published by the Korea Invention Promotion Association (KIPA).
